Quotes and pricing

Quotes are based on the details you provide and are valid for 30 days unless stated otherwise. Changes to quantity, material, artwork or turnaround may change the price. We will confirm any change with you before proceeding.

Artwork approval

Work begins once you have approved the layout, wording and placement. Please check spelling, dates and names carefully at that stage — engraving is permanent and cannot be undone. We are not responsible for errors contained in approved artwork.

Customer-supplied items

We are glad to work on items you already own, and we take every reasonable care. However, engraving and etching involve heat and abrasion, and some materials, coatings and older or previously repaired items can behave unpredictably. Where we consider there to be a risk we will tell you before starting. Items are accepted for work on the basis that you accept this risk, and we cannot replace an item we did not supply.

Turnaround

Timescales quoted are estimates from the point of artwork approval. Most personalised gifts and small orders are completed within a few business days; larger orders depend on quantity and material. We will tell you promptly if anything is likely to affect an agreed date.

Appointments

Our workshop is on our residential property, so visits are by appointment only. Please book a free 30-minute drop-off or consultation slot before coming to the shop.

Payment

Payment terms are confirmed with your quote. Deposits may be requested on larger or bespoke orders, and on any order requiring us to purchase blank product on your behalf.

Cancellations and changes

Because every order is made to your specification, cancellation may not be possible once production has begun or once blank product has been ordered. Contact us as soon as possible and we will tell you what stage the work has reached.

Faults and remakes

If work leaves our shop with a defect caused by us, we will remake or correct it. Please raise any concern within 14 days of receiving your order so we can inspect the piece.

Intellectual property

You confirm that you have the right to use any logo, image or text you supply. We may decline work where ownership or permission is unclear.

Liability

Our liability in connection with any order is limited to the value of that order. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it cannot lawfully be limited.
